Draftwright is operated by Paul Fremantle ("Draftwright", "we", "us"). By using the service, you agree to these terms and confirm that you have legal capacity to do so. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Draftwright is an alpha technical drawing service. It processes uploaded STEP models to create editable Python/Sheet scripts, review images, structured checks, and downloadable PDF drawings. Authenticated work may be queued, retried, resumed, and stored durably. Optional AI and supported API or MCP features may be available. Features, limits, and interfaces may change or be withdrawn.
You retain ownership of models, scripts, prompts, project information, and other content you provide, and any rights you have in generated outputs. You confirm that you have all rights and permissions needed to upload content, instruct us and selected providers to process it, and authorise any third-party client acting through your account.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, limited licence to host, copy, transmit, inspect, transform, execute, render, validate, store, back up, recover, retry, and return your content solely to provide, secure, support, and operate the service at your direction. This includes durable workflow processing and user-authorised API or MCP access. The licence ends when the relevant data is deleted, except for limited backup copies and records we must retain.
Stage 2 drawing review and Stage 3 drawing chat use a server-run Codex or OpenCode agent with a Draftwright-funded allowance. The browser does not accept or hold model-provider credentials. Model service availability, terms, privacy practices, output, and limits are outside our control. All AI-generated scripts and suggestions are provided as-is. You are responsible for reviewing and validating them and the resulting drawing.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account, browser, OAuth credentials, access tokens, and connected clients, and for activity performed using them. Do not share credentials or give an untrusted client access to your account. Draftwright's model credentials are held by the server and are not disclosed to you.
You agree not to:
We may apply file, complexity, execution, queue, storage, trial, request, rate, concurrency, and provider limits. We may reject work, revoke tokens, suspend or terminate access, or preserve relevant records where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, protect users or the service, comply with law, or investigate a breach. We may perform maintenance and change or discontinue alpha, API, MCP, provider, or trial features.
Trial work is temporary. If you continue without linking an account, your anonymous identity, projects, uploaded models, scripts, job records, previews, and generated files stored by Draftwright become eligible for permanent deletion after 24 hours without service activity. Link the trial to an account before deletion to keep the identity and its work. Active work and documented operational or legal holds may delay deletion. Automated trial deletion is being introduced in stages and is currently observation-only, so eligible data may remain longer; that delay is not a promise of durable storage, preservation, or recovery.
Authenticated drawing inputs, scripts, jobs, logs, previews, and exports may be stored durably whether or not you later save a named project. "Save" and durable storage are convenience features, not backup services or guarantees that any data will be preserved, recoverable, or available. Data may be lost, corrupted, or become unavailable, including because of software errors, infrastructure failures, maintenance, account action, or service changes. Keep independent copies of source files, scripts, projects, and outputs you need. Retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy. Deletion may not be immediate or recoverable, and deleted live data may remain temporarily in provider backups. Contact us to request account deletion; there is not currently verified instant self-service deletion of every durable record and object.
Draftwright is an assistance tool, not a substitute for qualified engineering review, measurement, standards compliance, safety analysis, or manufacturing validation. You are solely responsible for checking source models, dimensions, tolerances, materials, annotations, scripts, and exported drawings before relying on them. Do not use an output where an error could cause injury, property damage, regulatory breach, or other material harm without appropriate independent verification.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Draftwright is provided "as is" and "as available" without express or implied warranties. Feature recognition, deterministic checks, AI review, storage, retries, and exports can fail or miss errors or manufacturing requirements. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, preservation of data, provider availability, or that outputs will be accurate, complete, production-ready, non-infringing, or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Draftwright and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss; lost profits, revenue, opportunity, production, or data; provider charges; or losses arising from reliance on technical outputs. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach, unlawful use, security risk, abuse, or where continuing the service is no longer reasonably possible. Provisions which by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, responsibility for outputs, disclaimers, liability limits, and retained records—will survive.
We may update these terms as the alpha service or law changes. We will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice or request renewed agreement for material changes. Your continued use after the effective date of notified changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
